Edgar Oliver: Apron Strings of Savannah One very eccentric playwright describes his extremely "southern gothic" childhood in Savannah, Georgia.[More:] My partner is from Savannah, and I've spent enough time there to know it's a city full of offbeat personalities, but wow. This guy is so odd, and yet very funny and charming.

I heard this story on the Moth Radio Hour over the weekend, and they interviewed him on the show about his accent- apparently that is his real speaking voice.
I have a new love. Thanks for this.

That's an awesome video, Splunge! I'm fascinated by him, too. All week I keep hearing my thoughts as though he were speaking them with that crazy voice of his. :)
