BUNNY WHOOPIE PIE PAN GIVEAWAY! Specifically, I have one of them, and am giving it away in the manner of a raffle. It is new. It looks like this approximately.[More:]

Tickets cost exactly one comment. You may only enter once. Though you can comment more than once, I just won't put your name in extra times. You know what I mean.

The raffle will close this time tomorrow, and then I will be like "hey, [username] won" and you will be like OMG BUNNY PAN I WILL MAKE SO MANY WHOOPIE PIES NOW and you will email me your address or whatever and I will mail it to you.

Molde para pasteles de Whoopie. Moule a gateaux sandwichs Whoopie. Ooh la la.

Also: whuffo u no use to make Whoopie pies, cortex? Are you telling me you already have a rabbit-shaped Whoopie pie pan? Because then I want to live in your luxurious, glittery world, where novelty Whoopie pie pans fall from the sky.

Eh bien, moi aussi, je desire un moule a gateaux sandwichs Whoopie. Toute ma vie j'ai been searching for such a moule as this. Tabernac. (Also, yes, I was pointed to this thread by BOP, in order to double our household's chances of winning said miraculous moule.) Merci bien, cortex. (Wow, does my French suck.)

Ooh, count me in.

For the record, I cannot understand French and so any notional provisions to the stated rules that are rendered in that godless tongue will not be binding.

Provisions stated in English will not be binding either, granted. But it's a principle thing.

As long as your username does not itself appear translated into French in the byline, you will still be eligible, however.

If you rotate the pan 90 degrees they kinda look like Scottish Folds.

Here is where I enter the raffle thingie.

If I win, I will do amusing things with the bunny pan that I will document with my magic camera.

Then, I will send it on to BOP/Elizard, who will use the pan for good.

merci,
lapluiebebe

If I win, then maybe it will be like the Davis Wiki plate.

Le petit lapin?
Or, Pat, the bunny.
posted by Obscure Reference 30 April | 21:47
I am not going to enter the drawing, since I have a tiny overstuffed kitchen (and recipe for whoopie pies that requires no pan), but that is pretty darned adorable! UH OH I AM NOT AUTOMAGICALLY ENTERED IN THIS DRAWING, AM I? I BETTER NOT GET NO PAN, MISTER.
posted by Elsa 30 April | 22:30
If elected I will not serve.
posted by Hugh Janus 30 April | 22:44
Elsa - if you win it could be like the Davis Wiki Plate. Except it would be the metachat bunny whoopie pie pan.
posted by aniola 30 April | 22:49
I totally, totally need this!!!
posted by leesh 30 April | 23:07
I am not entering the drawing but if I win by virtue of commenting I will gift the pan to someone likelier to use it.
posted by Miko 30 April | 23:15
I really don't want that pan. God, I hope it's not me.

I would make pumpkin flavored whoopie pies! NOM NOM NOM NOM!

... So if rainbaby, me, elsa, miko, or mudpuppie win, then it becomes the official metachat bunny whoopie pie pan?

What *is* a whoopie pie, anyway? Ah, I see. An American baked good that is filled with cream formerly known as a hucklebuck and originally made from leftover cake batter.

The largest whoopie pie ever was made last month in Maine and weighed more than half a ton. (Source: wikipedia)

Apparently, as pan tech goes, a whoopie pie pan is basically just a cookie pan for deep cookies.
posted by cortex 01 May | 01:58
Whoa, dude, dee-e-eep cookiesesz.
posted by Ardiril 01 May | 03:06
I, sadly, do not care for whoopie pies (now the official State Treat of Maine!), but I will enter anyway, and if I win, I will use the pan as a lure to get people to come visit me -- if you visit me, I *might* give you the bunny pan, oh yes I might . . . .

See, that's what puzzles me about the concept of "whoopie pie pan." Whoopie pie cakes are just thick cake batter (or fluffy cookie dough, however you want to conceptualize it) that is stiff enough to stand in mounds on a baking sheet. They bake up in little domes. Any pan with that much shape would require a thinner batter.

It's adorable! And generous! But I don't get it.

Whenever I get whoopie pies from the local mennonite ladies and bring them to my parents, my father is always delighted, but persists in calling them whoopie cushions.

Around here, they come in chocolate, oatmeal, peanut butter, pumpkin, and (every once in a while), red velvet.

Okay, that is SUPER. I love that.

I see that cortex bought a ticket. This had better not be a fixed contest, sir!

Woot! I am not too late to participate in whoopie!

Er, pan.

Yes.
posted by TrishaLynn 01 May | 14:55
Whoopie! Mmmmpie.

I am also abstaining from entering the contest*, but man, the idea of whoopie pies made in the shapes of bunnies is downright adorable.

I AM RETAINING MY RIGHT TO BE SERVED A BUNNY SHAPED WHOOPIE PIE BY WHOMEVER WINS THE PAN.
posted by deborah 01 May | 16:02
I will use it at least once to document said whoopie pies for metachat. Then probably never again. I'm glad someone took advantage of the French because the "Moule a gateaux sandwichs Whoopie" really sucked me in.

posted by casarkos 02 May | 09:37
Note that mudpuppie needs to either grudgingly provide a mailing address or work something out with someone else less pan-averse and have them get me an address, because me still having this thing after slaving over a hot raffle is not an acceptable outcome.
posted by cortex 02 May | 19:06

Oh, noes, we can't have an ORPHAN BUNNY WHOOPIE PIE PAN.
Quick, somebody start a collection!
posted by Ardiril 02 May | 21:52
Okay, okay, I'll take it.

I also have to come clean -- the reason I didn't want it is that once in my possession, I know I'm going to become obsessed with cooking (and posting pictures of) bunny-shaped things. Like, sweet corn pudding. Or lasagne. Or tamale pie. And I really, really didn't need another project.

But, the bunny gods have spoken. I'll take it. My info is on its way to cortex.

Not only that, but I'll do the next raffle (to be posted soon). I propose this become a regular event, with the winner of the item becoming the next raffler -- even if it's only a white elephant object.

Stay tuned.

whee! I am down with the revolving raffle!
posted by gaspode 02 May | 22:04
Whoopie pies are kind of nasty, but bunny-shaped cupcakes would be good. I bought some very expensive cupcakes in an airport recently; they were a disappointment. Pretty bad when even a cupcake disappoints.

Bacon has never disappointed me.
