Cooking. Because I've been having trouble making myself cook, I've been fixing this a lot lately. [More:]Sauteed Broccoli & Tempeh:

1 package of tempeh
Lots of broccoli florets
1 onion
Some kind of cooking oil
1 tablespoon or so of tamari soy sauce
Cooked brown rice

Chop up the onion and cube the tempeh and sautee in the oil. After about 5 minutes, add the broccoli. Just before everything's cooked enough, add the soy sauce (I like the sizzle noise). Serve over rice.
That sounds really good - tasty, proteiny, veggy, fibry, oniony. Those are all important things for me.

I like to make a Thai-style stir-fry. Ingredients basically anything you like (mostly veggies, maybe a few prawns or a bit of meat if that's the way you roll, onions compulsory, chili useful) with a little bit of sugar, Thai fish sauce and lime juice added at the end. I don't know where I can get tempeh in this country but next time I might try that.

A slightly more complicated version.

Yum. Thanks to both of you.

It is delicious, yes, but more importantly it is also brain-dead easy. All I have to do is convince myself to do a little knifework.

ooh that sounds like something I would like very much.

My supper will be a bok choi shrimp stir fry that will be your recipe plus some garlic. Perhaps some chopped pecans.

My son does not believe me that most recipes can be simplified to perhaps a half dozen basics.
