Seattle Me-Chites, can I crash on your sofa this summer? So I'm going to be in Seattle for a conference in July, and even though that's a ways away I'll have to book flights soon. I'm hoping to take advantage of this business trip to spend a couple of extra days bumming around and checking out the city, probably July 20-23ish.[More:]

Anyone without cats (I'm deathly allergic) got a spare room/sofa for me for a couple of days? I'm quiet, tidy, low-maintenance, and will do dishes and cook for you.

Cheers!
I hope you find something! I just wanted to chime in and vouch for the awesomeness of turtlegirl. She's been a great host to more than one IRL meetup and would no doubt be a great guest too. Good luck...

Rats. Was just going to volunteer but we have FOUR cats. So you'd be miserable with us.

I live 300 miles south of there AND have cats. . .otherwise. . .

Cats run this place. Sorry, because you sound nice.

Too bad I'm 100 miles north of Seattle and have four cats.

We're a helpful bunch, eh?

I also have no cats and you'd be welcome to crash at my place. Is Seattle far from Australia?

I have a dog and some hamsters. And Alaska is prettier than Seattle anyway. But less shopping.

Keep an eye open for meetup IRL posting then!

I agree turtlegirl is awesome, biased as I am or not.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the thoughtfulness from you all. Too bad my suspicions about Seattle being a "cat town" (as opposed to say, Boulder, CO which a more dog-centric city) seem to be true.

I still have some time so if anyone has a non-psychopathic, catless friend I could stay with let me know. :) And yes, there will definitely be a meetup.
