I never do this... [More:]Well, at least not for a long time.

But this episode of the Palin follies was too ridiculous to pass up.
That's hilarious and frightening.

You're forgiven, Joe. How could anyone with a pulse pass this one up?

Somehow, she'll come up with a way to twist this to make it look like only pathetic, lazy meeeedia people are concerned with how many Facebook accounts one person has.

You know, 'here we have a powerful woman innocently cheering herself and her family on, and you all have to play the blame game and make it look like she's trying to pretend to be something she's not? Like you don't have any pretend friends on Facebook. Well, I don't know how you do it in the lower 48, but here we have a little thing we call positive self-talk. It's one of the strategies used by true, strong Americans to help us get ready to roll up our sleeves and be independent, like those great pioneers and forefathers that came so long before us and paved the way through this glorious land, not like some people who just want to do nothing and have all their Facebook fans handed to them on a platter.'

Or something like that. I've noticed that whenever there's any negative revelations of the kind that would cause a human being of normal intelligence and moral function to feel shame and retreat for a decent interval, she (and team) just need about six hours before coming up with the bizarro-world countermessage. It takes half a day, but they always find some way to spin it and use it for offense.

Sometimes I think it's the Sarah-Haters who do more to keep her in the news than everyone else combined.

It's important to remind people frequently what an idiot she is. We have short memories and an election coming up in a bit.

That's just it, amro. The Republicans who matter appear to have already written her off.

Only one sock puppet? I have to deal with a half-dozen Koch/GOP-paid Twitterers a week (because I make an occasional political comment and follow @KeithOlbermann, I get more right wing spam than the regular kind). It's obvious that the people she hired to do her social media for her has dozens of fake accounts they cycle through to seed and inflate the pro-Sarah content threads and one of them just got sloppy in coming up with fictitious names. The #tcot (True Conservatives on Twitter) gang is filled with people who get paid to troll. If not, a lot of "concerned small businessmen" are neglecting their small businesses.

You made me break my diet! I'm following the Sarah Palin Elimination Diet, and have eliminated her from my thoughts. I've gained back a bunch of brain cells.

But I'm not sure that the Republican primary voters have written her off yet. I think that the nomination is Mitt's to lose but I wouldn't be overly shocked if Palin managed to grab it.

I know where you are coming from, octothorpe. Where I differ is that I don't think the Republican movers will let her get that far in the first place. They seem to be as tired of being steamrollered by the extreme right as everyone else. Six short months from now, however, we will have a more accurate picture.

Hell, I just enjoy the entertainment.

Electionwise, I'd be thrilled to watch her draw off parts of the vote and incite the same kind of chaos she did within the McCain camp. The "Republicans who matter" - that means the "Republicans with money" won't be behind her, you're right, but there's a less sophisticated and less strategic popular bunch who continue to love her. ALso, she's crazy, and she might run as an Independent, which would be a scream.

As an independent, oh, yes, I would love to see her do that.

You know how Donald Trump likes to pretend that he's thinking of running for President because he enjoys it when people pay attention to him?

Sarah Palin likes to pretend that she's thinking of running for President because she enjoys it when people give her money.

She is not running.

She is not interested in running.

You know, that Rhaomi is a pretty cool dude. I'd love to see him run for president!

Why thank you, unbiased and objective citizen! But I'm afraid I can't discuss my hypothetical plans to possibly run for maybe president just yet. But hey, why not cut me a check for $10K and we'll see what happens then!

She's not interested in winning, but I think she's probably interested in running. "Former Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin" can demand higher speaker's fees and a reality show following her on the campaign trail would sell.
