Sex Dwarf. This song is pretty much everything that was awesome about 80s synth-pop.[More:] Marc Almond went on to provide vocals to amazing songs by weirdo bands like Coil and Scraping Foetus Off The Wheel, but he also covered Madonna's "Like A Prayer" and made a version better than the original.
Sex Dwarf was also the #3 song on KROQ's 1982 Year-End Countdown, solidifying the station's reputation as Daring, Weird and Automatically Adding to the Playlist Any Song With 'Sex' in the Title.

I always forget that Marc Almond worked with Foetus.. although all those Some Bizzare acts were doing a lot of cross-breeding at the time. Some super-interesting music being made back in those days ... you never know who'd wake up next to who in the recording studio.

"Sex Dwarf" is still a perennial favorite at my local gay bar, although I think "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" will be his real legacy, for better or worse... much as "Hallelujah" is Leonard Cohen's to most people.

Yes, indeed ..... KROQ played "Sex Dwarf" (not to mention an even better song, "Insecure Me") way more than they ever played "Tainted Love."
