"Arthur McBride" performed by Ox, is the twelfth song in the December Musical Giftstravaganza![More:]

"Arthur McBride" is an Irish anti-recruiting Christmas song first collected in the 1840s in Limerick and Donegal. Paul Brady's rendition is among the best, Bob Dylan recorded it, and here's Planxty doing it justice as well. It is included on Ox's Silent Night & Other Cowboy Songs record, along with the less murderous "Christmas With The Band," included here as a balm for the lily-livered.
That was good. (I am so eloquent!)

This is really fantastic, Hugh. Thanks so much. I love it a lot. Terrific vocals and low, humming uitar and loose drums...everything I love.
