Museek is a music player for Android phones. I highly recommend it. [More:] It's great for large music collections- you can browse your music on a visual "map" arranged by style, or use "smart shuffle" which tries to play songs that flow well into one another. I also like that you can add a song to the mix on the fly- your chosen song will play next, and then more random tracks will follow. Here's a demo video that shows how some of this stuff looks.

Also, it's free. :) The app is still in beta, so there's an occasional hiccup (for instance, the "gapless playback" mode doesn't work yet on my G2) but overall, it's really a fun little toy, especially if you listen to your music on shuffle a lot.
Scan this barcode with your phone to download the app from the Android Market:

Thanks! Need to think about whether to put more music on my Droid (tricky because lots of my Itunes library isn't compatible and because I probably need a bigger memory for my miniSD card) but I like the look of this.

Sometimes I wonder if I really love my music as much as I believe, though . . . I tend to end up listening to books on my Ipod, and doing the same or reading them on my phone.

I put a 32 GB microSD card in my phone earlier this year, and STILL I keep filling the damn thing up with music.

Looks neat but I doubt that I'd use too many of those features very often. My current favorite music app is actually Winamp for Android which has the great feature of letting you pause, replay and fastforward from the lock screen.

Museek lets you do that, too, octothorpe, which I only just found out about in the last week or so. That's a really handy feature when you just want to pause the music to talk to someone or whatever.

I'll take a look at it in a few days. I'm not installing anything right now since I'm getting ready to switch to a custom mod once I decide which one I like.

Installed and un-installed already. If you enable the lock screen display, it bypasses the pin number screen and lets you into the phone without the authentication. Yikes. Back to Winamp.
