The Whelk's Webcomic Pastiches: Cat and Girl, Achewood, Dinosaur Comics (totally pitch-perfect AND well-timed). OF COURSE, I have suggestions of others he should do...→[More:]
The Book of Biff (work those eyebrows!), Diesel Sweeties (I wanna see an 8-bit Whelk... if I could do an 8-bit Wendell*...), "Scenes from a Multiverse" (especially "Bunny Planet"), "Something Positive" (just crank your cynicism level up to 12!), "Templar, Arizona" (yeah, that's a dare), "Unshelved" (badly-drawn librarians? MeFi will love it!), "Wondermark" (get a Trader Joe's ad and start clipping...**) "xkcd" (almost TOO easy... or should I say "Sudo xkcd"?) or just do what I do and make submissions for "Square Root of Minus Garfield"***.

* Last year, r.stevens offered to make custom characters, for a price. I was semi-penniless at the time so I tried doing one myself, altering a one-time overweight character he'd done.
**in an online conversation, Malki! told me he had never seen the Trader Joe's ads before he started doing his comic. And I believed him.

Oh hey awesome! I was just going to tackle Pictures For Sad Children today. (I've also got to re-do a few things, change the text in the Dinosaur Comics - change the word bubble tails in achewood....)

I'm mostly hitting comics where I think I can emulate the voice really well. Dinosaur's obession with language, the musical references in Cat and Girl ...I think I could hit Wondermark but not sure. I don't really have a grasp on the others. I *love* scenes from a multiverse, but I don't have a hang on what makes it sounds like itself.

God, Templar AZ. I'm saving that one for when I hate myself.

And copying Kate Beaton is too easy cause seriously I already draw like that.

Huh it just dawned on me that i don't actually a lot of webcomics.

I could try to copy Dresden Codak, but while I think I could get the voice copying the look is just ..beyond me.
