In 2001 invasion, US millitary airdropped 2.4 million Pop-Tarts in Afghanistan [More:]I learned this odd fact while researching Pop Tarts on Wikipedia.

Why am I researching Pop Tarts? It's one of the three clues for tonight's trivia at Tijuana Flats. My three clues are French Impressionist painters, Pop Tarts, and seed spitting contests.
So far, I know when they are invented. The four original flavors and a few other facts. Let's hope I get this question correct.

Ooh... brown sugar cinnamon is the best flavor! Here's a music video made with, and about pop tarts. The brown sugar cinnamon flavor, even.

I don't like the frosted ones.

I used to love them, back in the days they only came in plain, no frosting.

When I went to visit my sister in Georgia (the country not the state), her English roommate specially requested pop tarts and I brought six boxes...it was like I'd brought a gift from god how happy he was.

When I was 8, I foresaw a future EXACTLY like this.

We've been to the Pop-Tart World in Times Square and tasted the Pop-Tart "sushi" (minced pop-tart in a fruit roll-up shell). It was good.

So what percentage of Afghani homes have toasters?

The only Pop Tart question that matters is...

Pop Tarts: Raw or Cooked?

The only correct answer is Raw.

Definitely cooked and frosted.

Husband and I were in first place at halftime. We were in second at the end and blew it on the final question. It was a golf question. You could wager 0-20 points. The question was, "Put in order according to most strokes: Buzzard, Albatross, Birdie, Eagle." We knew birdie and eagle but didn't know the other two. We only wagered 3 points but still didn't place.

The best Pop Tarts were blueberry and toasted. Best enjoyed in the 70's.

I credit Pop Tarts, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, and the unlimited cream puffs (with chocolate sauce) at my college dorm cafeteria for my freshman 30.

(Jon was recently very disappointed by the ice cream sandwich flavored pop tarts. They just taste like chocolate.)
