Recommendations for books on managing people? I'm trying to find some books for a friend who wants to improve her management skills. [More:] She's got great people skills, but no management experience (and she's young, so I think she's a little hesitant to throw her weight around).

Any help would be appreciated.
Well at least you would not have to deal directly with Ticketmaster. . .although I am sure the original sellers did.

Welp. . .that comment was meant to go on Madamina's post about Lady Gaga. . .but you know that.

danf, I was trying to figure out if Ticketmaster now sold management books, or managers. :-)

It's not a book, but I found manager-tools.com to be super helpful when I first started out as a manager. First, Break All The Rules is a good book too (the data-lover in me likes that it's based on 80,000 Gallup interviews).
