31 August 2010

In honor of the changing season, I have changed my hair. [More:]
Also, thanks to Maine's rich vein of WASPy thrift-store outfits, I can now look forward to a winter of looking like a student at an exclusive private school where all the furniture was made by elves.
You are a brave man. I think I like it.

Is it possible to die eyebrows and moustache as well? That would make for a nice Irish appearance.

It sets off your absolutely stunning eyes. Are they blue? Grey? Midnight blue? See, I am serious here.

*swoon*

Seriously, it's cool. I think if I'd seen the color on the box, I'd have been all "uh, no", but this works - and it totally works with your fairer complexion and your eyes - bearwife speaks the truth. Keep on keeping on, Red.

PS: plz send thrift stores to Poland kthx

The Goodwill in Augusta was surprisingly extensive!

The L L Bean outlet, of course.

I'm actually preparing for fall by basing my looks on , of all things, books I've read recently, mostly The Magicians by Lev Grossman. New Englandly prep-school style with strange touches around the edges, brown tweed jacket over a conservative shirt and sweater combo, but with a strange silver stag pin and unnaturally bright hair and neon-green socks or a single ceramic skull pinkie ring. Call it Kennebunkport Occult.

although it JUST hit me that I'm wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans ...I'm ...I'm ..FUTURAMA COSPLAYING.

I can say this because you're gay and I'm married. HOT DAMN, THOSE EYES! Hair looks good too.

I must admit thought about the fact that I knew you were gay and that I figured you knew I was married before I dished about your eyes. But I meant every word of it, too.

SCOTT WEILAND CIRCA 1995 OMG!!!!

(I used to think he was such a babe until he got so far into the whole drug thing that there wasn't even any plausible deniability anymore)

Sheeze, you were at the Goodwill in Augusta? You were like 5 minutes from my house.

MISSED CONNECTIONS OMG.

I had a drink with my Professional Hair Gal friend who said she liked it, cause it's totally fake is a very odd way. It's a color you DO see on people, but usually Women and usually with curly hair, it's not like green or blue hair where you can just go "oh that's fake" so it makes a kinda frisson of "oh wait, is that real?" which she liked. She said to do some simple lightening with lemon juice (sprinkle it around every other day and sit in the sun to make more variation to make it look more realistic, you can also do it your beard to make it more light) but keep the eyebrows. It's part of the contrast.

With the New England Drag I'm planning on looking like a live action adaptation of a comic book that never existed.

And my eyes are, according to the portrait that got done at me, "storm gray", but I think he just really wanted to get in my pants.

I was out neat Sheepscot Pond, for future reference, and yeah I hit a lot of Goodwills in Camden and Rockland and found stuff that makes me look like I'm going off to study Magical Mathematics with Biffy over the summer but it is so terminally dreadful, you know Brad?

I've also gotten queer for pins recently, totally respectable outfit with some strange hand-made silver stag or bunny (from Metachat! It was a hit!) on the lapel. Most tie pins or lapel pins SUCK and guys never get to accessorize.

the wool black thin-pinstripe 3-piece suit with the tiny Superman-logo pin gets a lot of looks, is what I am saying.

I could have sworn I posted this earlier yesterday but I think you look like a less hangdog Alan Ruck circa Ferris Bueller. Very handsome!

Am I the only one who thinks the new Oval Office decor is rather nice? || The Covenant:
