Ideas for canned tuna [More:]
I make two things with canned tuna: tuna salad sandwiches and tuna noodle casserole. What else can I do with it?
My mom adds it to spaghetti sauce and it's really good.

This pasta sauce recipe with tuna, tomato, and garlic is one of my favorites.

Heh. Great minds and such.

Ooh, tuna in pasta sauce sounds great. Thanks!

I add it to stir-fried veggies. Add it at the very end, just to warm it, otherwise it'll get too dry.

Also, you can add it to scrambled eggs or an omelet.

You can substitute rice for noodles in your tuna noodle casserole. I actually prefer the texture of the rice version.

And I have everything to make that recipe tonight, so I will. I don't have any "meat" (except for canned tuna) for dinner tonight. This works perfectly. Thanks again!

amyms, great ideas. I particularly like the stir fry idea. Thanks!

Comfort food!

My flatmate and I would make this quite often - heat up some leftover rice in a wok or fry pan, add can of tuna, add spinach and then grated cheese and even a bit of mayo. Freshly cracked black pepper and YUM.

Yum!

Oh, how I love a tuna melt on rye bread.

gomi, that sounds awesome. I will have to try it.

wens, I had four cans of tuna. I made the pasta for tonight's dinner (my husband and kids gobbled it up) and this recipe for tomorrow's lunch.

Kimchi fried rice and kimchi soup. You can also throw it in with leftover freezer veggies for non-kimchi fried rice.

Also, filling for tuna kimbab. It has the usual veggie (carrots, pickled daikon, cucumber, spinach, or anything you want in there) and egg omlette filling, with the addition of tuna mixed with mayo nestled in perilla leaves. Perilla leaves tend to be optional, but if you can get a hold of some, do use them because they add a little something else to the whole thing. Kind of accentuates and kills the tinny fishiness of not so great canned tuna and another level of aromatics.

We love pasta tossed with black olives, tomato, tuna, and grated feta. A friend used to make a tuna salad with tuna, sliced green grapes, and wild rice. It was delicious and lovely in the summer.

A simple summer salad - pineapple chunks, tuna, and cottage cheese over mixed greens.

Here is an AskMe about this, sort of. It presupposes a higher quality of tuna, but I don't see why any of this would not work with canned.
