Damn - so much great stuff so far! I don't think I'd mind any of you controling the tunes at a party.

rollick: Is the Camper Van song a Kinks cover? I can totally hear David Lowery belting that one out.

BoPo: As always, your shuffle looks like it could have been one of mine. Love that MBV-Sabbath-Psycho Killer run. And I think we've already discussed the wonder that is "Memphis Egypt".

dg: I often have to defend my love of Foreigner, but it's espcecially hard with "Say You Will", which I love even though it really seems like I shouldn't.

richat: Chixdiggit!!!! Right on!

Hugh Janus: Now I'm going to have "Spazz" in my head as I try to fall asleep.

I love these shuffles. I'm tired and wanted to go to bed, but I can never pass up a shuffle. I do a weekly shuffle-a-gogo on Fridays with a group of people on Facebook and I look forward to it every week.

It's not something I listen to often, but it's honest music and I think it's great. Not everything has to be cutting-edge or be full of all sorts of deep meaning. Sometimes, it's just music that's great to listen to without having to think too hard, you know?

You mean you'll include for extra AWESOMENESS. That JD song just kept me from relating my opinion about the Decembrists.

Visage - Fade To Grey

When I was in college in the 80s, this sounded like the future.

I often have to defend my love of Foreigner

If loving "Juke Box Hero" is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Hey, I'm an English major and my dual focus is Shakespeare and Irish Lit. They write songs inspired by Shakespeare and the freaking ULSTER CYCLE. How could I not have that?

(And maybe I mentioned JD because I know a lot of people have only heard the New Order version and my email is in my profile. Ahem.)

Marxchivist: I LOVE that Richard Thompson song. I saw him open for Crowded House years ago, and hadn't heard of him before that night...I still remember getting goosebumps when he played Galway to Graceland!

It also freaked me out when they introduced him...his name and mine sound very similar (same first, rather similar surname) and I had a split second when my brain jumped, worried that no one had TOLD ME I WAS OPENING THE SHOW.
