Tomorrow night is the 1 hour LeBron Decides On A Team special. How do you think he fills the other 55 minutes? [More:]I say musical numbers. And he makes the final decision when the GMs from the final two teams do a Lip Sync For Your Life, with special guest judge RuPaul!
Do you think the decision will be announced in the first 5 minutes or the last 5 minutes?

The latter would be torture. Glad I can't watch it anyway.

It's the American Hoops Idol results show!
Or Dancing With the Franchises!
Or So You Think You Can MVP?
Or America's Next Top NBA Team?
Or America's Got Nothingbettertobeinterestedin?

I'm guessing he announces in the last 5 minutes. Gotta keep everyone watching.

waitaminute... Thursday Night? He's not on opposite Futurama, is he? If so, I'm missing the whole thing.

And if there's a musical number, I'll bet it's played on vuvuzelas.

Tap-dancing ftw.

I have not been so excited since Hillary put out that video announcing that she'd chosen a Celine Dion song as the official song of her campaign.

It'll depend on where he is broadcasting from. If he is in Cleveland, then I think the answer is clear. Actually, I think this whole broadcast doohickie means he is either staying in Cleveland (more likely) or going to New York (less likely, but not outside of the realm of possibility). If the broadcast is 60 minutes long, than you can expect at least fifteen minutes of highlights, punctuated by twenty-odd minutes of brand new Nike commercials. I wouldn't rule out tap dancing or vuvuzelas, though.

Why would he be less likely to have this TV special if he was headed to Miami or Chicago?

Doh...I'm behind on the news. Apparently Wade/Bosh are signing with Miami and Chicago is signing Boozer.

I guess Chicago could still end up with James. But, yeah, looks like Cleveland or NY/NJ.

I guess as a sports fan that I should know who he plays for but you never hear about the NBA around here since we don't have a team. He's a big deal, right?

The special is 30 times more awesome if it's just to announce that he's staying in Cleveland with bonus points for shots of crying Knicks fans.

Personally, I'm hoping James goes all Howard Beale though.

Even I, who like sports a great deal, think all this hoopla is insane.

Oh, duh. He plays for Cleveland, I should have known that.

Since it's an infomercial, I hope he will advertise LeBron-branded versions of the Ginsu knife and the Ronco Pocket Fisherman. He will then reveal that he has renounced sports and will spend the rest of his days in prayer and fasting.

Well, 15 minutes until showtime.

Everyone is saying it's Miami or stay in Cleveland. But I just don't think that Miami makes sense--Wade + James isn't an obvious fit and a team can't win with 3 stars and 9 minimum wage players.

Chicago seems like the obvious choice to me. With Boozer, Noah and Rose, the Bulls give James the best chance to win right away.

Ugh. Just....ugh. I wonder how long it'll take for Pat Riley's ego to kick in and boot Spoelestra back off the bench?

It's a sort of a shame, as I really like Chris Bosh and now I kind of wish nothing but fail for him (professionally).

Any clue what the deuce your Suns are gonna do now that Amare's gone, mullacc?

What a joke that was. I'm shocked that James has chosen to join a team where he will be not be the leader. If not for the ostentatious display yesterday, I might have thought that James was actually self-aware enough that he knew he wasn't going to be the guy on a championship-caliber team and so embraced the opportunity to team up with a proven leader (Wade).

As for the Suns, I'm happy to see Amare go. While obviously very, very good, his injuries and bizarre attitude kept him from becoming the dominant force that he was projected to become. The Suns have some cap room now too. Though I don't think they can put together a championship-caliber team in the next couple years. So I hope they trade Nash to a contender.
