Joe, stop please with the WW2 shit please. I'm glad England were knocked out by Germany because, after the sickening WW2 references all over the English media before the game, we'd have then had the Falklands War all over again if we'd played Argentina.

At the England v Germany game I even saw a couple of guys dressed as Battle of Britain pilots. For a start, they must have taken those uniforms all the way to SA solely for the Germany game, because it would have been pretty fucking pointless to wear them if England had been playing, say, Ghana. And secondly, just imagine the outcry if there'd been German fans dressed in Nazi uniforms. But because of a war that ended 65 years ago, for some reason, racism against Germans is seen as some kind of joke.

Have to agree. At the very least, it's often tasteless.

Somewhere I saw a Dutch t-shirt that said "Look, we're back!" referencing South Africa, I guess. Ugh.
