Jason Shiga is awesome. I've been enjoying his wacky comic zines for a few years, and recently came across his super cool comic choose your own adventure for kids and grown ups. Here's a video of him explaining how it works.[More:] It's so much cooler than the Edward Packard books I loved as a kid. I mean, it talks about entropy and theoretical physics, and features a crazy doomsday device and ice cream. And there's hidden puzzles! I got it from the library but I'm so going to buy it. As should you if you know any 8-12 year olds, like puzzles, like comics, like choose your own adventures, or are just generally a person with good taste!
I can second that this book is amazingly awesome.
