This guy asks what I've always wondered- "How do you get into the luge community to begin with?"→[More:] "Is it one day like, “Mom, Dad, I really want to luge.” And your parents are like: “O.K., I’ll quit my job. We’ll move to an Alpine community.”"
I want to be a "social critic," so that my tastes and opinions suddenly have some sort of weight to them and other people feel that they need to start thinking like me.
The Talking Heads are one of those things that I figured I'd get into when I got older (another: Pet Sounds). But it's been twenty years or something and I'm still not a big fan, and now I think they're one of those things that, if you didn't get into it at the precise right moment, it probably won't happen.
Like, there aren't a lot of grown-ups that suddenly become Muppets fans, and if you don't like the Misfits by the time you're 16 or so, you never will.
Did you know that in doubles luge, the heavier rider rides on top and the smaller rider steers with their feet and impaired vision?
Also doubles luge in the Olympics is technically a co-ed event, but the successful teams are all men, due to the weight thing I guess? So there really isn't much women's doubles luge.
