27 January 2010

Today Is National "LT Is Still Looking For Work Day!" [More:]

Today marks the Official Anniversary of One Year of Funemployment for me.

In honor of LT Is Still Looking For Work Day, I am dedicating today, Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 as a Day of Service to My Communities. This includes Metachat/Filter.

Please use this thread to let me know what LT Can Do For You.....
The traditional celebration includes cheetos and video games.

LT, how do I reconcile my desire to create with the idea that so much art and culture already exists that any drop of mine merely dilutes the vast ocean of Things Better Then Me. You could spend a lifetime reading the existing books, watching the existing movies, in a world of perfect archiving and limitless storage, it would take a miracle to create anything new.

Nice list, Raw Stewage. I could probably work all of those things in today simultaneously.

Whelkish - what, you're going to opt out of millenia of humans sharing their experiences over perceived Newness? Dude - get your ass out there and blaze.

If for no other reason than if you don't, no one will ever be able to get on Metachat v 2.0 and say, "My art will never be as good as The Whelk(tm), why should I even bother now?"

In that case you have to name my tiny plastic triceratops who sits next to the computer and gives out internet advice.

Done: his name shall be Schum-Schum, and he will bring gifts to the little village children.

Schum-Schum is delighted with his new purpose.

Laundry?

and a nice dinner date?

Sounds like just the thing.

I'll expect you mid-afternoon, LT. My laundromat is just a block away. I'll provide the detergent. For dinner, I'm thinking frittata, unless you have a special request.

Hey now now, we ALL have Laundry we'd like to give to LT. I give him mine on the condition that he may do anything to it BUT launder them.

That's fair.

So just the dinner date, then. Sixish? White tie optional.

Dear Diary - very weird day today. Spent my time picking up organic dog biscuits from the Blue Ocean Society, drumming up support for my food campaign, and um, doing ten loads of internet laundry in a tuxedo while having two separate dinners.

This is one of those times where I'm going to look back in a year and this will make sense, right Diary?

Okay.

Dear LT - I know it's been while, and this is a hard thing to read, but I want to start seeing other writers. I hope you understand.

Dear Diary -

WhatEVER. Just remember who popped your lock the first time. You'll come crawling back. You'll see, Dearest Diary...you'll see.....
