Help me think of an excuse to work from home! →[More:]My main part-time job, though it has a physical location, is done entirely online, and thus I can work from home if I have a good excuse. It's supposed to be rainy and gross, plus I prefer working from home b/c it's comfier, lets me sleep in an hour, means I can give my cat attention, etc.

So help me think of an excuse to stay home tomorrow and Tuesday! I have had a cold recently and had to deal w/ a leaky roof, so those are out. I do need to take my car to get inspected--do you think that would pass muster?

Help me, Mecha denizens! I don't wanna walk 15 minutes in the rain tomorrow!

(I think I did this more inside thing right--if not, lovely mods, please help?)

Sheepherding festival means all the roads around your house will be closed/clogged with sheep.

Doctor's appointment at, say 11 am. It would cut into the middle of your day so makes sense to work from home.

Dear leesh,

This is just a quick note to advise that an excuse will be calling at your place tomorrow to fix some non-existent wiring which has shorted out due to the leaking roof. We have booked him in for an 11am appointment, but please be advised that this is an approximate time and we cannot guarantee that he'll make it out of the pub in time to reach you.

Therefore, please ensure that someone will be at home all day waiting aimlessly (ie. patting the cat) for him to eventually turn up.

The sheepherding festival has the added advantage of being a religious holiday, so they can't really say too much about it.

Heh, thanks guys! I went for dr's appointment but will probably save the wiring for another day. (I really prefer working on the couch in my pajamas if at all possible.)
