I used to really dislike dachshunds but over the past couple of years I've met a couple fantastic examples and now I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

A friend of mine has a miniature dachshund named Elvis. That dog is soooo damn happy when anyone comes to visit. He really is a joy to see. Not sure if I'd want to live with him, but it is fun to visit him.

Wiener Dog Day was just a few weeks ago. The sheer number of hilariously attired dogs was really impressive.

I wasn't overly fond of Doxies, but nephew has a beautiful miniature creame/blonde piebald pup. I fell in love with her in an instant.

My sister has two obese long-haired dachshunds that have never been trained properly. They yap-yap-yap for attention and treats all the time. Horrible little things.

But every now and again I'll come across a doxie I like, usually a wire-hair, which seems to have a lot of character.
