James Goodall Guitars, and so we start talking about our guitars, and we both have some old, nice ones, and somehow I mention some of the old guitars in the
Experience Music Project in Seattle (since he's based up there), and he mentions casually "Oh some of my old band's stuff is in there," and I go, oh really, what band? And he goes, "We were called
Blood Circus, and then he goes on to mention that Nirvana OPENED for them, and also Mudhoney, whose members used to come to shows, and were inspired to form a band by hearing
Blood Circus.
He said that sobering up led to his not being in that scene anymore; not being sober per se, but having everyone in the band still using, and the discrepancy of lifestyles not meshing.
For a music geek, a pretty neato happenstance.
