House Of Sudz, RIP. [More:] Today I went to my oft-mentioned laundromat, across the street from my local bar to do a few loads. The windows were covered with brown paper and there was tool noise inside. Some big mook was sitting on a chair outside. "What the hell happened to my laundromat?" I said. "Gone," he said, "lost their lease." Drag.

Happily, there's another laundromat up the block, so my history of dry-cycle drinking can continue, but I'm sad for the people who worked there and the guy at the store next door, who has enough detergent stocked up to last into the next milennium. Between this and dying bartenders, basement internet parties, fire-eating strippers and all..it's a weird summer.
That is an amazing name for a laundromat. I love laundromats.

Also, at a neigboring sandwich shop, I bought a sub called a "Joey Shirts" (I don't know either) which was chicken cutlet, mozzarella, proscuitto, basil, garlic, oregano, sweet peppers, and olive oil on a hero roll. It was good.

I just ate lunch but that sub sounds NOM NOM NOM.

Too bad about Sudz, but yay for having another laundromat close to you.
