Doing the Tenth? Just me thinking out loud.→[More:]

I have a few options for next weekend.

1. Go to Boston meetup. I can get there on the T!

2. Go to Boston meetup via T, but also rent a car to drive to Portland, ME. (1-day rental)

3. Rent a car on Friday, drive down to NYC, see family, then attend NYC meetup. Drive back on Sunday morning to Portland. (3-day rental, ~650 mi.)

4. Stay home and celebrate what would have been my dad's 55th birthday by listening to his LPs all weekend.

If I can kidnap the missus, I won't need to rent a car. Sadly, I'm not supposed to ride my motorcycle for another 2-3 weeks while my arm heals. Boo. Fingers crossed that I get good news on the job front this week, though. Would be nice to finally be able to buy a car again (haven't owned one for nearly a year and a half now, wow!)

Thinking of going to the London one, but the size of it is pretty scary: 35 definites, 51 possibles. Plus the venue capacity is only 35-40.

About that Knob Creek... Very sad news; I have to make do with Makers Mark.

I'll be at the Portland shindig. Nola would be awesome, but no more travel for me right now.

We're going to the Pittsburgh meetup on Saturday.

Oh and I bought a bottle of Eagle Rare Bourbon last week which I like very much. About the same price as Knob Creek in the PA LCB, not sure how much out in the civilized world.

Becca doesn't think she can handle the hectic schedule next weekend. I've been thinking about it and my grandmother might want some company this weekend since it would've been her son's birthday. So while I was skylarking a bit at first, maybe I *will* go down to NYC this weekend.

I'll be in Venice, where I don't think there are any MeFites. Maybe I'll post something just in case anyone else is there now.
Sorry to be missing the big NYC party, would have been fun. TPS, please bring a large cardboard cutout of me so I can be in all the pictures.
