Great Online Finds Kind of like shopping buddies... [More:]

I desperately needed some new tank tops for home chores last week and of course headed to a place I could pick them up cheaply = Oldnavy.com. On a whim I saw this bag for $10 and decided to order it in cranberry. You know what? Freaking best overnight bag I've seen in months (and I've been looking) and I might even use it as a purse every so often as it's roomy enough to fit the crap I usually lug around. $10!

Also, looks like Ichibankan is discontinuing carrying the cute inexpensive bento gear for the most expensive stuff so snap up what you can now before they sell out.

Those are my best tips for today. Anyone else?

(I have been lusting over that bag for months even though I have one already similar too it, goddamnit!)

I wish I could help with the shopping bits, but I've been trying to avoid various online retailers that I adore since I'm kinda financially fucked at the moment.

Tempted by bento, but it seems like an expensive hobby.

Yeah, and it seems like one of those hobbies where, even though the equipment and supplies and time commitment are really expensive, people nonetheless insist that it'll actually save you money.

Come to think of it, there are a lot of hobbies like that.

Naw, not really. I won't even try on anything elaborate, but some are surprisingly easier than expected and in any case it helps me gather a ton of great recipes and oddball stuff I want to try (cupcake pops!!).

I got most of my stuff on Ichibankan, quite a bit actually, all reusible and the whole kit cost me about $60. I say it paid for itself in the end within a month.

I just ordered these sandals from this fabulous etsy shop. All glowing reviews, she's been really helpful and fast in our correspondence, and wow! $40 for handmade, comfy sandals!
