Summer job woes. →[More:]

I'm feeling pretty depressed about my employment prospects for July and August right now. All my colleagues here in Poland are hooking up with summer school positions over in Britain, but I can't find legal work anywhere as I'm not an EU citizen, despite the huge demand. I've even been offered jobs I can't take.

Vague offers of jobs in Georgia and Oman haven't panned out. Might have to go home to California, which would wipe out my savings...only to have to come back two months later.

Here's to a future without borders or passports. Gah.

Would it be cheaper to 'summer' it out somewhere on the continent or elsewhere instead of heading home?

If I were you I'd do under the table work..or mechanical turk / editing type stuff online until autumn

another thing is a family loan - dear family i will wipe out my savings if i go home to sleep in the free bed in california - can you loan me x amount which will allow me to live here and continue to save and i can pay back by end of year
