Anyone an expert at crochet? →[More:]
I love this pattern...

... but I can't figure it out. I haven't been crocheting long but I know the basics, chain, single, double & triple and can figure out granny squares. It looks like single crochet x2 and then double crochet x8 in the same hole... but it doesn't look 100% right to me and doing the second layer looks like a nightmare. No matter how much I try and follow the stitch, I'm missing something. Anyone have to skills to map it out for me? I love this pattern and want to make a present for holidays.

I'm no expert but I think I can follow the stitching - or the seams or whatever. The half ones on the edges are driving me nuts, though.

I'm not going to my regular knitting circle this week, but I'll send the pic to the mailing list and see what pops up.

Heh - I'm doing granny squares as we speak, I put it down to check my computer and saw this thread.

No idea how to make the pattern though... it's very pretty however!
