He's suddenly realized that his new wife is a nutjob, and has realized that her "job" is actually a volunteer position.

"Who says a job needs to be a paid position, anyway?" she says.

"The dictionary!" he shouts in frustration.

She rolls her eyes. "Who goes by what's in the dictionary, anyway?"

Even if I had a dictionary that explained everything in life that I could show to people, they wouldn't listen to me anyway. It's so hard to try to follow the rules when there aren't any.
