Nobody's Lonely Tonight by Moneybrother[More:]

Moneybrother is the solo project of Anders Wendin.

I hope this is the start of a free-form music post, whatever anybody likes, put it up. I just put down my guitar after an hour or so of playing and singing and went back to my classic soul playlist, and that damn (wonderful under most circumstances) O.V. Wright came up, and now I need some tunes to wash the feeling like a motherless child out of my ears.

So have at it, and so will I, and maybe we can all dig each other's music.

Also, if you don't have the song handy or aren't able to link it, mention it, maybe someone else can find it and put it up. Not exactly a request line, but I just really want to share songs with you right now.

I listened to Widow City on the way to work today. They've got three songs up on the Fiery Furnaces website under "music". "Ex-Guru" was, for several months, my "get off the couch and get dressed" anthem.

Thanks, muddgirl. I've wondered what Fiery Furnaces sound like. "Ex-Guru" is a cool song. I'm listening to it now, and it seems to work -- I feel like getting up off the couch and taking a shower (not merely because of the song, but because I've been lazy about showering this week; sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I just smell that way).

I'm digging that Magma track. Sounds a lot like middle period Zappa.

Oh man, you wanna hear more Magma? They sing in their own interstellar language. I'm not much of a prog fan, but I love me some Magma. I've got it all. I'll put some more up soon.

But first, this:

Nope, free-form music thread -- that's how we can have Magma, Spoonie Gee, William Bell, and Moneybrother among others... please, by all means, play whatever you like. I just happen to have a lot of blues/soul in my collection.
