I found some dress pants that fit me! We're going to a wedding this weekend, and as I was packing last night, I found my old dress pants seem to have, er, shrunk. Or something.

So I stopped by a neighborhood retail establishment and got some nice dark khaki dress pants for pretty cheap. So, yay!

I applied for a really, really good job yesterday. I haven't heard back apart from a confirmation that my application was received, but if I somehow managed to get it, it would be reallllly good: writing work I'd mostly enjoy and in which I'm experienced, and salary that even at the low end would get me out of my current situation safely.

Also, I bought a pair of purple sneakers from a girl on Craigslist for $8. I shouldn't have really spent the $8, but I committed to buy them before things got ultra bad... anyway, I got them yesterday and they are friggin' adorable. PLUS, they look like they were actually never worn. The soles are even totally pristine.

I dunno. I guess it doesn't take much to please me right now, like wearing purple shoes.

I got my rat cage! Gonna put it together this weekend and let the rescue know that I'm ready for my babeez!

My two-year-old made up a new game where he closes his eyes, sticks out his hands and runs towards me like a mummy, with a huge smile on his face. It's pretty cute and makes me feel this intense rush of love for him.
