Apparel Advice. →[More:] I'm going to go out wandering the city today. I really want to wear my Toldeo Mud Hens jersey that I bought myself for a Quitting Smoking for 2 months reward.

Now, I've always said that wearing two items from different teams in the same sport, like say a Mets hat and a Braves jacket, at the same time, made you look...well, undependable. I don't own a Mud Hens hat, and it's kind of cool out. I have my St. Louis Browns hat. The Browns are a long defunct team, and anyway, they played in the major leagues whereas the Mud Hens were in the minors, so that wouldn't be a conflict, right? My only non-baseball ballcap is a NYPD hat I picked up in Chinatown.

I'm hitting the showers. I'll expect opinions when I get back.

Well I think you should wear the cap, mainly because the Browns went to Baltimore and became the new Orioles, right?

Fashion is one thing, but I always go for comfort if in doubt. I have no opinion on the politics of undependable team fandom. But, you need to wear your reward jersey for sure!

The only major league hat that would be acceptable with the Mud Hens jersey would be the Tigers.
But honestly, who are you trying to impress out there? Just wear the Browns cap.

I have a friend who gets up everyday and decides whether to wear Bulldogs, Braves, or Falcons. And yeah, he won't mix insignias either.

I vote for NYPD just because that's what my friend would suggest.

I'm not trying to impress anybody, I just always busted the stones of those who mixed teams, but like I said these two teams weren't even in the same league or era.

Voting for the NYPD hat. That way anyone who looks at you sideways won't hurt.

I think anyone who wears two pieces of sports gear at the same time is goofy-looking no matter what the teams are. It makes you look like you're off to Little Athlete's Summer Camp or some shit.

Wear one or the other, but not both. Total overkill.

box, now I have to go through my cap collection to see if I own such a thing. I have at least twenty caps and have serious doubts about finding a non-logo one in the set.

Of course, caps in no way represent my only hat choices.

But I agree: a non-logo cap works.
