LT's New Show onna Radio! [More:]

Finally got clearance for my new show on the radio this afternoon down at the station. It's going to be called The Slumberland Gap, and will most likely be airing at the ungodly hour of 6-8 am on Sundays.

What I am hoping is that I can rely on the Mechaverse to come up with a catch tagline for the show's intro.

The show's premise is basically a Moby album writ large, i.e. old, old-timey murder ballads, gospel, trad country (think Merle and Kitty Wells and the like), mixed with the gloopiest electronica available.

Think Hallucinogen meets Hank Williams. Or Pretty Polly meets her Death in Vegas.

Get me? Good. Also, if anyone has pet links to their favorite electronic music sites, or old-timey sources, I'd be much obliged if you'd share.

Cheers!
Slumberland Gap.
Your bridge to the waking world.

I have no suggestions but I feel for you. I did a Sunday morning show years back. Mostly, I just stayed up all of Saturday night. It was just easier than getting up at 4 AM.

And a vote for pup's suggestion.

Not so hard as all that on this end, Arse. I live about 20 minutes walk away from the station. I could be up at 5am or 5:30 and still be on the air in time.

I think it will be a fantastic way to start Sunday, instead of waking up at 11am and having that "crap - there goes the weekend" feeling.

It'd be nice to get some sort of early-morning crossword crowd to listen in.

That's all I got. Plus - miko's suggestion is awesome.

Not in your request list, but I'd like to pitch Tori Amos's "'97 Bonnie & Clyde" from Strange Little Girls. It is one of the creepiest songs I have ever heard. Also, what is that nasty stain she obsesses on in "I'm Not In Love"?
