The BUNS are home! Alice made it home just fine, much to my relief. She is acting completely normal, though a bit slow. She's still pretty doped up. I'm a bit pissed about the size of her incision, but I'll get over it...(my cat had bigger organs and a smaller wound...grrrr)→[More:]

In the mean time, our efforts to adopt a new bun came through - a little early, and very unexpectedly. The couple that had the bun we were going to view are moving to CA, so it was tonight or never.

Alice seems cool, and new bun is really, really calm. He's a docile torti, and normal sized instead of dwarf.

Our camera is broken, but I'll see what I can link with the Blackberry soon. :)

Ha, I bet it's a really funny situation from Alice's perspective: She's all drugged up and she's like "Whoaaaa, did this other rabbit always live here? is he even real? I feel funny."
Glad they're both doing well.

No, Jewel's foster mom never got back to me. This dude was a find on Craigslist. His parents had to give him up as there breeder Lionhead was picking on him. I found out last night about them moving to Cali, which made it even more urgent to place him.

They were a really nice couple. :) Really careful to screen people so their boy wouldn't end up snakefood. I promised to send them our flickr account.

He's healthy, but pretty thin. I'm guessing there was competition for food. We're calling him "Gossig Kannan" after our Ikea toy bunny. It means "plush rabbit".

Both buns slept on the bed with us last night. (yes, I know that's weird.) Pie was like a daddy with a newborn; he kept waking up and checking on them. :)
