I loved Talking Heads and Byrne but Tom Tom Club made me realize just how important Tina and Chris were. Genius pops up at least one time each week in my music and never fails to make me dance.

arse_hat, I'd add Adrian Belew as part of the greatness of Tom Tom Club. He's like the ultimate band member, and did great stuff with Zappa, Bowie, King Crimson, The Bears. His solo stuff perhaps not so much.
