Heart Attack Grill [More:]I thought perhaps the YouTube post was a joke but apparently not. "Nurses" (who look like Hooters waitresses) serve up 8000 calorie burgers.
Gah. They opened one of these near me in Phoenix a few months before I moved. It's the worst of pandering--the "controversy" is the whole point and the food is a distant afterthought. If the food was any good, it would be defensible or amusing. But it sucks.

If you want to die from fatty food then at least treat yourself to Martin Picard's Au Pied de Cochon. The place Anthony Bourdain called “the restaurant I’ve been waiting for my whole life.”

I mean if you are going to die by food why not make it good?

Ew is right. I sent this to our nutritionist and the woman who's coordinating our adolescent overweight/obesity program.

I heard something on NPR the other day about how restaurants are seeing declines in profits almost across the board -- except for Hooters. And other restaurants emulating Hooters are springing up left and right, because it's one of the only seemingly sustainable business models out there right now.

That made me hungry sad and not a little bit harrumphy.

I saw a bit on this on the Food Network or Travel Channel, I think. It looked gross.
