Facebook screwing up. Can't seem to write on anyone's wall. Any ideas?→[More:]

Started last night, I click on anyone's wall to write something and the "Write something..." message doesn't disappear. If I write anything in the text box it's all in grayed out text. If I hit post nothing happens.

Clicking other things like "send a message" or "share a link" do nothing except add "ts#" to the end of the URL.

What the heck is going on?

clear cookies, restart browser, log in again, usually fixes it for me.

I had that happen intermittently and only with some users. It was bizarre.

Clearing the cookies didn't work, and now when I type someone's name into search (assuming the search doesn't end up doing the same thing as the wall's text box, which it just did), I'll click a name and it'll send me to a blank page instead of someone's profile.
I ctrl+refresh, it pops up. I go to write in the wall, same problem.

Oy vey.

Stewriffic, as far as I can tell this is happening to me with everyone.

Maybe everyone you know hates you and blocked you from writing on their walls.

I had that problem yesterday... it never resolved, I just got bored and gave up.

The plot thickens.

If I right click on the "wall to wall" link under someone's comment on my wall, and hit open in new tab or window, bam, it works. If I left click on it? Nothing.

Same with sending a message! Clicking on it does nothing, but right clicking and selecting open in a new window/tab works just fine.

What. The. Heck.
Also this is what it looks like when I try and write on someone's wall:

It's seeming more and more like it's just my browser, but I'm going to check in my next class to see if it works on that computer.

Works on a mac in Firefox. So now what? It's apparently just my browser, and it happened last night as I brought my laptop to the newspaper office and had to connect to the wireless internet and accept some certificate that Firefox 3 apparently didn't like (it's the same certificate you always have to accept, don't know why it didn't like it).

I'm having issues as well. xp, ff3 but worse when I'm in ie

MSNBC just reported something about a scam where hackers hijack your profile and tell all of your friends that you need money urgently. Maybe it has something to do with trying to fix that vulnerability?

Aha I was just wondering about this. I use Firefox with Ad Block Pro. If I turn off Ad block Pro, the problem goes away. But then I get a new problem: ugly fucking ads.
