Can I whine about trivial things? (Feel free to add non-trivial whining and I will share the whuffles)[More:]I have a tummy ache. I've been really hungry but I can't eat anything because my tummy hurts too much. I wish I was a little kid so I could stay home from school and let my parents rub my tummy and get me hot chocolate.
Awwww. Tummy aches aren't really trivial. I vote that we reclassify the whine.

My sinuses are pushing my eyes out, I've lost my voice and I now have a chest cough too. Go away cold.

My assisted-living-residing mother-in-law is out of money. We found this out suddenly, since she's in another state with wife's sister allegedly handling things. My wife's relationship with her sibs is pretty toxic. Fun is not going to ensue.

I'm just feeling anxious and jittery and heading towards a 'buying pretty things makes me feel less like ass' moment. I see it coming.

Tomorrow, I go see the podiatrist and find out what's next for my foot.

whuffs to the sickies.

danf - depending on the type of facility the MIL is in, they may have committed to caring for her for life. My mother is out of money, and is essentially on scholarship at the facility. They do an assessment when you come in and gamble that they are going to make money off of you and take you - but sometimes they loose money. There should be a social worker on staff at the facility that will help figure this out. Again, I don't know the situation, and that's bad about the sibling stuff, but MIL may be ok. No, fun is not going to ensue, but it might work out that MIL is neither on the street or a ward of the state or her kids having to pony up every month.

Is it wrong that I'm imagining you saying that in a gangsta accent and throwing up hand signs?

no, jon, that's about what my reaction was, too, but in my case it was a bunny with a bandanna rather than a person speaking.

Ahh, muddgirl, I'm sorry about your rumbly tumblies. Would some broth stay down?

I managed to eat some thai curry and noodles when I got home, and I'm feeling much better today.
