Another Kitten Update Remember that stray kitten my husband and I found, starving and freezing nearly to death? And she recovered well but turned out to be feral?[More:]

She's still with us, purrs like a motor boat, drools when you pet her just right, has fun with paper towels, and is now named Madeleine Mary (Maddie for short).

She's still being kept separate from our other pets until she reaches 6 months of age and we can re-test her for feline leukemia and FIV and all that. Then we start with the introductions to the rest of the family.

She's a skittish, hissy little thing but we adore her.
Awww... congrats on successfully rehabilitating the kitty. So cute!

Oh, she's a pretty one! so curious in the video. Well done on the rescue. Sometimes the difficult ones are the best. :)

Gorgeous! I love it when any skittish, hissy little things get a mention but she is so pretty to boot. Definitely a keeper!

My older kitty was on my lap as I watched the video. When she heard the purrs coming from the speaker on the right, rather than looking at or sniffing at the speaker, she turned her head to look at the computer screen to see what was showing there, and watched with interest. She normally pretends no awareness of what I'm watching, even if it's pet videos, and I was not aware she had made the connection that when she hears something interesting on the speaker it's just displaced sound of what's on the screen, and therefore that is where you would look.

My parents got a feral kitty a few years ago...it was pretty unfriendly till it got fixed. Now it is a really nice cat.

Weighs over 20 pounds, too. If you know what a Kliban cat looks like, that's him.

Great misskazz! Definitely a sweet little monster you have on your hands there. Great too to see how the little monster is taking to you. That'll end up to be a great cat yet. Maybe I should consider a kitten now...

I love Maddie! My feral. ≡ Click to see image ≡
Two years to see him and three years to pet him, but now he is glued to my side.

I'm so glad you kept her! Lucky Maddie and lucky kaz family.

Her facial markings remind me of my mum's cat:
