Or at least it can be, depending on how you choose to comment. I've cast myself as someone who comments on the relative "goodness" of the article itself rather than having an overly strong opinion on the subject matter.

I think it's the first time in a while that I've decided to have an Internet "persona" but I figure that for Digg.com, that's okay because of not just the faceless hordes that read it, but also because of the people who use and abuse the system to increase popularity on things that don't matter.
