my sister had a baby girl a couple months ago and I've found these guides super-handy for taking pictures of my niece-- I imagine you'll be all tied up for a while yet but they're worth the read.

Wow, she is so amazing! She's beautiful, and looks so... finished. I'm used to newborns looking a lot more alien-esque. :)

Beautiful girl, beautiful name, beautiful parents.

And if you want to have another special day for her since her birthday falls on Christmas, you can celebrate her name day every year. Mykah, like Michael, Micah, Mikaela, Mia, Michelle, etc., would be celebrated on September 29.

This is gonna sound terribly obvious, but I was kinda surprised as a nulliparous type to see that your finished babe is actually recognizable in the ultrasound pics from weeks ago. I think I've only ever seen blobby, indistinct ultrasound pics, but those ones are practically suitable for Myspace!
