Snow Day! Woo hoo![More:] We had a light wet snow last Saturday followed by three days of temperatures not getting above freezing. Then yesterday it started snowing in the afternoon and over night and it is still snowing here at 1:50pm! Work told us to stay home and so I did.

I've slacked around in my PJs all morning, did the dishes and now I'm off for a walk in the snow. On my return I'm going to finish making the rest of my holiday candy. Gotta love the snow day!
So where are you?

We have snow too. I love it. We're bumming around in our flannel pajama bottoms and the whole world is muffled and lovely.

Snow on its way to Boston big time tomorrow afternoon. At least a foot predicted. Not a flake on the ground, and schools are already canceled, a "snow emergency" declared.

We are supposed to get more ice and then a foot of snow or more in Chicago. I don't like it. I don't want it. A snow day is an awful thing when you have a toddler. No. No more snow.

9" of snow and counting here in Redmond, WA. I took the Pathfinder out for some fun before settling down to 'work' from home. Email chatter from coworkers below SETI levels.

Today is Thursday, but many of my coworkers here in Maine are already planning for the snow predicted on Monday. Weather forecasting is a beautiful thing. Enjoy your snow day.

So where are you?

I'm in Kirkland, WA not too far from Redmond. I don't think we quite got 9" of snow, but we got at least 6", could be more though. Real dry snow too - it's been very cold. While I enjoyed the day off what has me somewhat concerned is tomorrow. Lows are supposed to be down in the low 20s (its 28f here right now, at 5pm) and all this snow's going to turn into a sheet of ice. The roads right now are crazy - those who can drive on them have been and they are packed, chewed up ice right now. My car can't handle it, with its old bald tires and no chains. But I'll probably be more expected to make it into the office and to be honest I need to wrap stuff up before being off for the holidays. If they get the roads scraped and sanded should be all right. Might stick with the bicycle though.

Bah, we're just getting rain here. I'd love to see a good snow storm, we have so few of them these days.

I'm flying on Saturday out of Newark, and based on the weather forecast for tomorrow I fully expect my flight to be delayed, if not cancelled. If there's bad weather around Newark or LGA it takes days for the system to sort itself out.

I'm worried about travel as well, flying out to visit the fam on sunday and there is supposed to be another storm coming in. Winter doesn't feel complete without at least a bit of snow, but the timing could be better...

Good luck to all in their winter travails.
