Not for the Squeamish (SLYT) PredatorFilter. . .Golden Eagles taking Mountain Goats[More:] in (apparently) Spain or Portugal. One of my coworkers who is a hunter showed me this. It's pretty fucking amazing.
Death from above! Amazing indeed.

The one that is carried back is done without ever putting it down. I imagine that is the only way they can do that, use the momentum of it falling to keep it in flight. Probably just too heavy to pick up off the ground.

I usually hate to watch predation of anything. But this is just so extraordinary. I can't always go well for the eagle, though. . .there is a lot of risk, but a LOT of food, given the body sizes.

I saw a mountain goat once. It was LARGE. It's amazing that these birds can pick them up!

When the hawk attacked my bird feeder, it bit off the wings and legs of it's victim before it flew off with the good parts.

The editing was a little cheesy and drawn-out, but damn, that was some amazing nature photography.
