1. I went to the hockey game last night. I got seats in my company's private box. Bill Clinton was there (in another private box)! I didn't even know he was a fan.
We made jokes about poor saps watching hockey without sushi.

2. My company president is here and he may or may not wander through my area at any point today. we all had to tidy up in case. I think he wandered into the suite last night to hear us screaming "KILL THE REF!" after a particularly lame call.

3. I met a guy on okcupid who seemed really nice and non-psycho and geeky like me, and we chatted a bit for a few evenings on IM, so today I asked if he wanted to go out this weekend. terrified, and waiting for a response. (by email since I'm lame like that)

1. I can't believe my sister is getting married in 16 days. CRAZY! It seemed like it would never come.
2. Still feeling under the weather. Bleech.
3. Eating something would probably help me feel better. Hope the mac n' cheese is warmed up soon.

1. The meeting with the realtor last night was completely stressful, frustrating, and the places sucked. I'm voting to never do that ever again, but obviously, pops doesn't listen when I talk. I don't know why he can't just accept that I'm going to go rent a place that I found all by my little self AND SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT GETTING A MORTGAGE FOR ME.

2. I'm very hungry. I'm quite glad I'm done with work for the week in about 7 minutes. Of course, I've got my performance appraisal conference on Monday, so that is going to be adding to my completely nerve-wracking weekend.

3. LAST CLASS tonight (for the fall semester). I've got to do the final exam this weekend. (Technically, we have all week, but I want it done and out of my hair ASAP.) I get to mail out boxes of joy after class at one of those 24 hour Post Office kiosks that I am completely in love with because THEY ARE FUCKING AMAZING.

1. Flight anxiety. ugh.

2. I had a dream last night where I was a fashion photographer and I kept having to tell my models that nipples didn't need to be shown in every picture. And then the male models and I decided to go search for a lost city in the Amazon which, for some reason, involved a trip south on Federal in Denver. I guess we were taking the scenic route.

3. Its gonna be in the mid 40s at the Broncos-Carolina game. I thought the south was suppose to be warm.

1. I'm still unemployed, and this is making me miserable and depressed. I heard a story on NPR about urban planners and architects in Fairfax, VA working on making suburbs livable and it made me miss working soooo much!

2. Got into a fight with sakura the other day, some of which spilled over into a shouting thread here.

3. Made up with sakura and bought her a really awesome birthday present. I'm not telling what it is.

1. It's dawning on me that I will never, ever be able overcome my faults, like being klutzy or lousy at memorizing things. For my entire life, I have lived on the hope that I could overcome these things. *sigh*

2. I could use a love affair too.

3. It's been raining nonstop for two days, and now the temperature is at exactly 32°F (0°C) and will fall more as the sun goes down. Ice, ice baby.

1. I was teaching some basic nutrition classes at a school today (sugar, fat), and now I have a metric crapload of junk food. Which I'll probably eat at least some of.

2. Worked my 40 hours in 3.5 days this week. Makes for a tough early week, but it's sure nice to be off this afternoon and tomorrow.

3. My feet hurt. Damned high heels.

1. The 45 minute walk to school every day has lost it's charm.

2. Just got done with my Game 101 final, my professor's son chose the subject: Lizards. Beyond that, anything was allowed, so I found an FPS tutorial and made it "Marathon-esque" complete with a terminal that sprouts messages and an enemy. This took me 2 hours.

3. My feet hurt.

1. Bought our 3' tree last night! Now, decorations...Pie likes eclectic mismatched trees, and I like coordinated colors.
We're thinking clear lights and clear decorations. Or food on strings.

2. First Dr. Apt is today, now that there's a good chance I can maintain my insurance during school. Wish me luck! And sleep aides! Also, Burt's Bee's Muscle Mender is AMAZING.

3. There might actually be SNOW on my Birthday!!!11 I grew up in the midwest where snow is prevalent, but never did it stick on my birthday. Odd to have a chance at it in Oregon. I think a higher power is trying to soothe my nerves over turning 30. :D

1. Slacker boss is mad at me for some reason probably connected to her asshole friend mr. evil big shot web guy. Now she has dropped a giant shit ton of work in my lap. I am not happy.

2. Moving auntie to her own place soon which is scary as hell but necessary for continued sanity of everyone concerned. Except then I'll be running two households again instead of one somewhat dysfunctional one so the balance of stress will probably stay equal. Fuck.

3. The to do lists - home & work - are so staggering I can't really function.

1. I bought an awesome faux fur coat on eBay which arrived today. It's perfect. Normally things like that are always far too long for me, but they'd given the coat length and sleeve length, and I measured it against one of my coats, so I could tell it was a short fit. It's gorgeous.

2. We had our Christmas lunch at work yesterday. I left at about 3.30, but apparently it was just warming up then. I had a phone call at 8.45pm from a co-worker drunkenly asking me to settle an argument he was having with someone (Is Idaho a city or a state?). There were a few sore heads in the office today and not much quality work was done.

3. I've been very careful about what I eat in the last few weeks, but haven't lost an ounce. Not fair :-(

Oh..do that! We do one tree entirely in gingerbread cookies--men, stars, snowflakes, etc. and "stained glass" hearts with melted Red Hots in the middle so the light shines through. And lots of candy canes. In years past, we've also hung dried orange and lemon slices and strung popcorn and cranberries, but that got far too labor intensive. It looks great and smells sooooo good. And it's fun!

2. Headache, but I think that's due to no caffeine today. How did I manage that?
3. I'm as sluggish as everybody else. Too damn cold. I'm reverting to my inner drill sergeant just to get through my email.

1. No xmas decorations this year, it was decided. Nothing humbug about it, just rather use that time for other things.
2. Like editing the children's nativity program from a friend's church.
3. In which I made no less than two grievious recording errors that will cost me dearly in time to overcome with massive creativity and determination.*

1. Got up late again and had to catch the 30-minutes-later train.
2. Have to do a "surprise" visit to an organisation today, which may end up being all cool and a storm in a teacup, or may end up with a prosecution down the track, meaning about 18 months of work for us.
3. Work Christmas party today - anticipating much merriment and drunkenness and me rushing to catch the last train home at 12.30am.

2. It's too cold and rainy to go out but I am excited enough about my date to risk it.

1. Glad to be home; it's horribly rainy, cold, windy outside.

2. Acutally looking forward to my meat manager coming back from vacation. Though people may complain about him, they also take advantage while he's gone, leaving much of it up to me.

3. Starting on knitting a hat for Mr. V for Christmas. It's what he wanted. Hope it comes out good.

1. Miserably, utterly, shattered by this stupid cold I caught from my son.
2. Final exams begin tomorrow.
3. Just drained 2 tablespoons of Theraflu Severe (sounds like a weather channel special.) It'd better be more effective than the Nyquil was last night. I was asleep for maybe 4 hours and was up the rest of the night.

1. Two of the Very Big Bad Things I mentioned in a previous post are progressing towards resolution. Nothing's sure yet, but the whuffles and hugs helped.

2. Had a ridiculous conversation with the bf and then the bf's sister about the coat I'm bringing to Missouri for Christmas. Apparently, the bf doesn't like my big black coat and has misgivings about the ankle-length green coat which he's never seen, so he actually asked his sister to talk to me about it!!! So I'm bringing my ski coat, which he once saw and pronounced "cool," This is one of the more ridiculous things I've done for love lately.

3. Going to bed early tonight, even though it's Friday. Got a ton to do tomorrow, and I had an exhausting, stress-filled week.
