Ask MeCha: YouSendIt alternatives? I'm trying to get a largish file (over 100MB) to Florida and it needs to be there today.[More:]

In addition, the company doesn't let us log into other peoples's FTP servers due to the drain on our bandwidth.

I don't want to sign up for a YSI account just yet; are there any free alternatives out there? Senduit.com only works if it's under 100MB.
That's going to be difficult. Have you tried splitting the file into 100 mb chunks using a free file splitter?

The recipient in FL can use the same software to reassemble the original file from the parts.

I also like usend.io (nicer interface and fast uploads from firefox. I haven't used Yousendit though).

The free account at boxtr has provided ample hosting of large files for me in the past. Uploaded and shared a ~70mb zip with no problems.

divshare lets you send up to 200MB, so I'd go with that.

Oh, and I've used it to share ~300mb files with no problem.
