Gregory Alan Isakov is awesome. →[More:]Heard him on eTown (with great backing harmony from Helen Forrester) last night, and he blew me away - he has it all: intelligent songwriting, darkly moody rootsy acoustic arrangements, humble laid-back approach. Official website. He's based in Denver but has a bunch of upcoming East Coast tour dates, including Cambridge Dec. 1 -- hmmm, might go!

I'm not as big on him as you are, although this is strange because he has everything I love in his music.

I think he'd be great live, though.

His songs meander a little too much for my taste, I keep waiting for a tempo change that doesn't come.
