If you plan to see Rachel Getting Married [More:] I suggest you see it in the theatre. I saw it last night and it was exhausting and intimate and if it sounds like your cup of tea, if you wait for the small screen, I think it will just seem really long. Anne Hathaway earns huge cred. No spoilers, but I'm interested to hear what anyone else who has seen it thought. I'm still thinking.
NYT review.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this film when it's released in the UK.

I am tempted, but I also am leery about movies that are ENDURED rather than ENJOYED. Wife and I were talking about it for tonight, though.

It looks good. I haven't seen a movie in the theatre since No Country for Old Men, and I doubt I'll get it together to see this one, but it looks like it'd be worth it.

The review, the part about how watching the movie feels like you spent a weekend with these people, reminds me of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. That's how I always feel after watching it -- like I've been through the whole long night with them. It's one of my favorite movies, but it exhausts me.

I was thinking of seeing this last weekend. But I saw Zach and Miri Make a Porno instead. What a fuckin' mistake that was.

That's exactly the sensation, mudpuppie - like watching Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf - but this is much more compassionate - quite compassionate in fact.

And after all, weddings are long and exhausting, so it sort of made sense. My friend remarked on the sensation after the movie and she hand't read any reviews or anything going in.

This is on my must-see list. I've been waiting for it to come here.

I'm glad you liked it, rainbaby. I can't wait to see it.

We need to work on those decision-making skills, mullacc.

Hehe, cut mullac some slack, I detect regret in that decision.
I'm about Kevin Smith-ed out, which is a shame, because the uber-lovely Elizabeth Banks is in that movie, but I think I will skip it.

I'm tempted to see Rachel Getting Married, it looks good, but it might be a bit heavier than my current mood would like.

I've heard great things about it, but I have a really deep dislike of Anne Hathaway. I'm not quite sure why, but I find her fully irritating. I think it started when I read in an interview that Ayn Rand was her favorite author.

But I love Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. I've always wanted to be in a production of that play.

I feel the same way about some actresses - everyone else seems to like them but I just find them flat and irritating.

Not Anne Hathaway, though. I want to be her best friend (and then raid her closet). But yeah, the Ayn Rand thing would be problematic.
