The peppers aren't bad, but I'm more of cheese tots kind of guy. Cheese tots and a cherry limeade, woo.

I live too dang close to Sonic.

Tell me about it. There's one about 3/4s of a mile East of us and another one about 3/4s of a mile to the West. The one to the West has notoriously horrid service though, in spite of several different managers over the years.

I don't frequent them much (why would I, when I have a Keller's right down the road?) but I am a sucker for their cheese sticks when I'm out working late and like a snack. Sadly, their Marinara sucks (waaaaaay too sweet) so I always request ranch instead. For fast food, they do fry up some mozzarella pretty well.

The first Sonic in the Chicagoland area (which is a stretch, as it's in Aurora) just opened a couple of months back. Haven't been yet, but SO and I are planning a trip. I've only been to a Sonic once or twice, because they weren't around in my neck of the woods growing up. SO is from SC, where they're everywhere. The one that was closest to her parents house was about 5 minutes away, but now there's an EVEN CLOSER one about 2 minutes away. Frightening and awesome.

I see commercials for Sonic on cable all the time (Joe's Crab Shack, too) and I live hundreds of miles from the nearest location. Why must they torment me so?

We finally got a Sonic here over the summer. My quality of life has drastically improved. A crab shack would be nice, though. Mmmm...craaabs...

Same thing drove me nuts when I lived in New York, jon. The closest one is in Virginia, I believe. Worth it? Probably.

In Tex-Ass, we could (and did!) walk 100 yards to our closest Sonic.

Now our nearest Sonic is an hour+ away in Erie PA.

Shit. Now I have to go to Wegman's for a while to feel better.
