Yes We Can! Hold Babies! This was buried in the debate thread but I thought it deserved a front page post.[More:]I don't want this to be political - I am an undecided voter (i.e., voting third party). But I did want to mention that I have a huge crush on Obama-with-his-sleeves-rolled-up and pictures of him holding/kissing babies makes my ovaries twinge like whoah.
I want Obama to hold one of these!

this one makes me smile as much as that little boy is.

I wonder if he looks SO DAMN GOOD holding kids because he's really one of the first presidential candidates who is young enough to have been a really hands-on father. Most of them are so old they're from the generations where mom would have been the primary caretaker for their kids, and it was less of a team effort.

Man. That pic kellydamnit linked to brought tears to my eyes. I adore the look on the little boy's face, the look on Obama's face, and the look on (who I presume to be) the dad's face. So touching.

Damn, you are right, Speck... that pic is really touching.

I just went back and looked at it again. Still makes me cry. Bless that man.

Totally went through the whole site just now. My ovaries are twinging and I can't stop smiling.

Thinking about a lot of other things, though, I do wonder if there is a pro-McCain analogue to YWC(HB) and if it would be any good. Also, if I would be able to look at it fairly and non-partisan-y.

Also, in the interest of being fair and a fluffy-minded liberal, could I ever be able to have a fair and open conversation with someone who is so pro-McCain? Or still undecided. Without getting all het up about it.

Every time I think about emailing my pro-Republican friends (some of whom are very dear to me) I have to stop myself from typing, "HTH can you still be pro-McCain right now! WTH do you have against Canada and England's political model? They're able to enact change in their government's so quickly! Isn't that a good thing when it comes to representative democracy???"

*pant, pant*

Um, go babies?

I posted YWC(HB) to the blue, and I looked briefly on Google to see if I could find a Republican counterpart, but I didn't.

That picture of Barack on the bumper cars should be widely circulated. It would do wonders in terms of his 'regular dude,' appeal, plus it's just damned funny.

I think the original is even cuter since you can see his daughter smiling even bigger.

This makes me sad for John McCain because he lost his ability to hug in Nam.

Damnit! That pic upthread just bounced my already OMG! pic of Barack holding a three-legged poodle in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

I don't even HAVE ovaries and something's twinging!

Georgia has a huge crush on Obama. It's adorable. She heard him in the first debate saying something about (the country of) Georgia, and she thought that he was talking to her.

She wants to write him a letter to thank him. *swoon*

Coldchef - one of my co-workers has a five-year old son who proudly sports his new Obama button on his school backpack! (I take credit - I gave it to his mom to give to him).
