Photo Friday this week is Birds [More:]
Suggested by LoriFLA.
This guy visited me for a few days, a couple of years ago. Then he either disappeared back into the forest, or became fox food.

One of Lucy's victims, I think. He was warm and floppy when I found him, so I put him on the bird table in case he was just stunned. I came back later to find he was dead.

A regular sight on my lunchtime Dockland walks.

I met this guy in Central Park. An ornithologist told me that he's most likely the result of an illicit affair between a white duck and a normal mallard.

And then there's the Ghost Bird.

OK, this is not a bird.
I am still battling mosquitoes in my house.
Crushed by the imponderable weight of my hand.
See you in Hell, buddy.

Thanks doctor_negative. If you ever get the chance to go to the Currimbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast in Australia to feed the wild lorikeets (those cheeky guys in the pic) it's a wonderful experience.

Ha, well I forgot the theme and I apparently don't have any bird pics on my photostream anyway.

o wait, I kinda do...

HA I lied. Here are some seagulls that I shot at Turquoise Lake. This is at the foot of Mt. Massive, at around 10,000' elevation, and easily 2000 km from the nearest ocean.

I'm sad I didn't take the Nikon on that trip.
