Video Choir [More:]

The State of Alaska blocks all kinds of internets, so I can't be cruising the web at work any more. I haven't been on MeCha in forever, and I miss you guys.

How the heck are ya?
I am very well rhapsodie. Thanks for asking. Here's hoping you are doing fine also.

Pretty good here. I'm trying to eliminate sweets and go low carb. It seems to have a nice effect on my moods. Today I'm scanning some old photo albums my mom was going to throw out. There's maybe a couple of hundred pics from a hunting/fishing club from around 1910. Thought maybe I'd get them scanned in and cleaned up and post them on the web somewhere. Cleaning them all up might be a bit of work though...

Low carb has worked great for me in the past, DF, and is working great again for me right now. I'm down 16 lb. in 4 weeks.

DF, those are great shots. I love old photos. My grandparents have many shots of them with moose just like your bottom shot, but from the 30s and 40s instead of the 10s.

That's great, Doohickie. 16 lbs would get me about halfway to my goal (a goal which I have been trying to reach for about a decade). That's inspiration for me to keep it up.

I spent a couple of days last week going through old family stuff at my Mom's. These photo albums and a lot of other stuff would have been tossed. I told her I'd bring them home and scan them and then toss them (but I'm not sure I can really toss them at the end).

I also found a letter from an uncle of mine in the 'toss' pile (it was there accidentally). He was in the navy and was writing home about his first liberty in Japan after the war was over. This was in October of '45. There was even some old Japanese money with the letter. Needless to say, I saved that one out to keep.
